On Thursday, 2 July 2026, the Rights for Nature European Citizens’ Initiative comes to the European Parliament in Brussels for a day of public action, political dialogue and movement-building, just weeks before the official launch of our signature collection.

As part of the organisation of this event at the European Parliament, certain personal data (in particular surname, first name, date of birth, nationality, and information contained in an identity document) are accessed by the office of Ms Marie Toussaint MEP, in order to issue access badges and manage the security procedures required by the European Parliament or to enable the participation online (email address).

This data is also transmitted to the competent services of the European Parliament exclusively for the purposes of access control and security.

The legal basis for the processing is the legitimate interest linked to the secure organisation of the event, insofar as this concerns the data necessary for access to the European Parliament.

The data collected through this will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the selected purposes and in accordance with applicable legal obligations.

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, and restrict the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to object. Where processing is based on your consent, you also have the right to withdraw that consent at any time.
